About Kari Sartorius

I’ve spent more than 20 years working across fundraising, donor engagement, communications, and events, partnering with nonprofit and higher education organizations including California Institute of the Arts, The Music Center, and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

My experience spans everything from high-profile fundraising events featuring artists and entertainers like John Mayer and LL Cool J, to events with acclaimed actors like Robin Williams and Bryan Cranston, as well as performances featuring celebrated dancers Misty Copeland and Tiler Peck. I've also worked on a wide range of student-centered programs and community initiatives. Regardless of the scale, I've always enjoyed the work behind the scenes, bringing structure to complex projects, solving problems, and making sure all the moving pieces come together.

Over the years, I realized that many of the biggest event challenges weren't necessarily about the events themselves. They were about the systems behind them. Teams were juggling too many moving pieces, reinventing processes, and relying on information that lived in someone's head.

That realization led me to create Event Systems Studio. I wanted to bring the structure, tools, and practical support I've relied on throughout my career to organizations looking to streamline their event operations, strengthen their internal processes, and give their teams greater clarity and confidence.
